Top Expert Will Comment on Same-Sex Marriage Trends

The same-sex marriage trend is moving to the forefront of national debate. It began when Massachusetts legalized gay marriage in 2004, followed by Connecticut in late 2008 and Iowa and Vermont just last month. On Wednesday, Maine became the fifth state to recognize same-sex marriages, and today New Hampshire’s governor may decide whether his state becomes the sixth. In late April, California’s gay-marriage battles reignited in the wake of the Miss U.S.A. controversy, while two major U.S. news polls for the first time showed more public support for than opposition to same-sex marriage.
